The Washo family

Washo was founded by Lukas - an entrepreneur with a passion for sustainability.

Today, the Washo family includes an enthusiastic team with the same goal: a better world of tomorrow.

Together with you, we inspire over 200,000 Swiss households today.

We are a genuine Central Swiss company. Our office is in Baar, our logistics are in Entlebuch, we rely on the Zug workshop for the disabled (zuwebe) to manufacture our products and they are shipped by Swiss Post.

The Washo story

Washing reinvented?

In all honesty, we didn't invent anything!

The idea of washing strips is so simple that we didn't even think of it ourselves. The invention originally came from Canada and we were immediately impressed by the concept. We wanted to bring it to Switzerland straight away.

Want to know how the small start-up became an established brand in just four years? Then read the Washo story now.

Your purchase plants trees

For every box of Washo washing strips and every pack of Washo tabs sold, we plant a tree.

We have a local forest warden, Cornel Aschwanden, on board as an expert.

To date, there are already over 1.3 million trees in the Washo forest.
